This project was for a customer who purchased a gem of an apartment in a 100-year-old building in the Forest Hill area of Toronto. She has a very discerning architectural and design aesthetic, and it was important to her that the interior keep much of its original charm while updating it with the amenities of modernity.
The main challenge was the bathroom remodel. The request was to add laundry and maximize storage without overcrowding the small space. A smaller-in-depth custom vanity was developed for ease of passage and included some narrow pullouts and drawers alongside the laundry to use every inch of the space available. A new bathroom window was required, as well as closet doors and trim work throughout the apartment.
